It was a privilege to work on this rendition of “Stacy’s Mom” and to have known Adam Schlesinger. I can’t think of a better way to honor his memory than through song.

Just released today. I recorded a bunch of the music, added SFX/Foley and did a lot of editing! It’s a funny little cartoon. We mixed it at Lime Studios in Santa Monica.

Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics! This song was a real blast to be a part of. I remember last-minute edits the day before the shoot and hustling to get it all done in time. I had a good feeling about it when Rachel came in the studio and put down an acapella guide vocal. Congrats to Rachel Bloom, Adam Schlesinger, and Jack Dolgen!

This will be the final season. So far, the music department is off to a great start and I can’t wait for people to hear these songs.

We just finished mixing Episode 13. This was a blast. The songs, the orchestrations, the actors/singers. It gets better each season. Fingers crossed for season 4!

Check it out. Putting this together required the first all-nighter I’ve pulled in a while! But it was worth it. I learned a lot about live broadcast and making things work on a stage in front of 6,000+ people (with fire, flying chandeliers and a singing human teapot). We had a little more than three days to arrange, record, edit, mix, assemble and prep for playback but we pulled it off!

I’ve been holed up over at The Village in Santa Monica with Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, with John Alagia producing. Good new stuff coming soon!

I’ve been working on the music for this new season of Crazy Ex Girlfriend with Adam Schlesinger and Steven Gold and it’s been a blast. Spent today in the studio with Tovah Feldshuh and I can’t wait to see it air.

Rachel Yamagata’s new album “Tightrope Walker” will be out in a few weeks and is available for pre-order now. It’s been a long time in the making, but totally worth the wait. Check out the music video for “Nobody”.
